For a Reader

Hey readers, I know I know..I've been really slack in my role as a blogger this month! Its hard to pick one reason..but more will be revealed in the following posts:-)

Meanwhile I had a task that I love doing most (perhaps second only to shopping). A reader requested for a styling idea using a really pretty accessory that she received as a gift.  The points to consider were-

1. Using staples from the existing wardrobe (e.g. black jeans being one of them)

2. Choosing some classic accessories, which have a very good repeat value 

3. Spending only on a few extras to put together a coordinated look

So, putting my styling skills to the test I created this look- 

1. The 'gifted necklace' - Peach neckpiece from Forever New
2. Classic accessory no. 1 - Delicate gold studs
3. Wardrobe staples- Cream top and black jeans
4. Classic accessory no. 2 - A black leather tote
5. Smart wardrobe addition no. 1- Two tone ballet flats (similar here)
6. Smart wardrobe addition no. 2- Black and white print scarf with a hint of color
7. Classic accessory no. 3- Black watch, Marc Jacobs
8. Smart wardrobe addition no. 3-  Peach nail polish
